What Microsoft 365 Copilot Does and Does Not See
Where the example in this module uses a case file, for ordinary office work think of your own inbox, calendar, and the team site of an ongoing project. Microsoft 365 Copilot only searches what you yourself are allowed to view: a project folder you have no access to stays invisible to the tool as well, and a shared site shows exactly as much of itself as your colleagues set it up to show.
Working in the Applications
Where this module uses a case document or an audit program as an example, for ordinary office work think of a client proposal in a word processor, a budget overview in a spreadsheet, and a presentation for a team meeting. The same approach applies: have Microsoft 365 Copilot produce a first draft or calculation, and check it yourself before the document goes out the door.
Where This Tool Demonstrably Falls Short
Where this module uses an audit opinion or a materiality judgment as an example, for ordinary office work think of a negotiation with a client or a sensitive message to a colleague. Microsoft 365 Copilot lacks the feel for the relationship and the context that such a judgment requires, and that is exactly where your own judgment still works better than generated text.
