Using Microsoft Copilot (until recently named Microsoft 365 Copilot) in audit work: where it gets its answers from and why your own permissions determine what comes out, working in the applications you already use, and the places where this tool demonstrably performs worse than your own eyes. The fourth module covers file research, interview reports, report writing, and what you document about the use itself; the closing module covers the layers around the window: connected sources, documented working methods, and agents. The basic knowledge about language models is covered in the free foundation course and is not repeated here.

You learn how to use Microsoft Copilot to summarize and rewrite documents, turn meeting transcripts into a decision list, quickly get up to speed on long email and message exchanges, and read worksheet data without handing over the arithmetic check. - Where This Tool Demonstrably Falls Short
An honest module on limits: which kind of task structurally produces worse results with an assistant that searches your own files, and why. Applied concretely to arithmetic, completeness, and currency. - Microsoft Copilot in Audit Work
Practical application of Microsoft Copilot in the four recurring audit activities: file research, interview processing, report writing, and documenting the use itself. - What Stands Around the Window
The previous modules covered Copilot as you encounter it in the applications. This module covers the layers around it: sources from outside your own environment that you connect, working methods you document so a colleague can take them over, and agents that carry out the work themselves instead of describing it. For each layer, we look at what gets taken over from you, what you lose sight of as a result, and when you are better off not using that layer. The module closes with an exercise in which you place a task of your own in the right layer.
